Over Boostn Prob In Turbo S Starlet

Hey All, Couple of weeks ago I put a better 2et into my starlet (better meaning not smoking or leakin oil) Ever Since that the stupid car seems to hit about 14psi at about 3000rpm and by 6800 its at about 9psi. The only things that i have changed is, there was a solinoid in the pressure line to the fuel press reg on the fuel rail, but I have removed this along with the hi/lo boost solinoid (blocked the hose for that just after the accuator) and I have put a spring on the accuator arm (which i was told was ment to stop this) Im running a VR4 front mount, pod mounted in the bumper with a samco bend, turbosmart boost controller and BOV
Anyone got any ideas?

Could it just be the turbo is running out of it's efficiency range, does your boost start to drop at exactly the same rpm point?
