Dont Run more than .9 bar with the standard engine management.

dont change the boost without disabling the vsv boost control,
the driveline and things are pretty strong,

as for going alright for a wagon, I wouldnt hesistate in saying that it goes alright "."

I could probably give you more info about this, but its 4:57pm on a friday afternoon.

also I suggest
"Click SEARCH" type in caldina GTT and you;lll get heaps of info.

he brought it privatly from a guy in hammilton .9bar?????? wot does that equal in psi???? when he boosts it teh guage swings round to 13 but then settles on 9 psi wich i thought was a bit odd? i had a turbo starlet that i ran 11pounds in when yuo floored it the guage went to 11 and stayed there so i was curious as to the guage readings on his any suggestions why it does that???? goes up then drops back down????
drive it till it breaks, then upgrade it

sudden rush of boost.... wastegate cant open as quickly ^_^.

i doubt that starlet had the same size piping as the caldina... more air.. at the same pressure...

Thats the VSV controlling the boost. It will stay open and close once the boost rises to about 12psi.

I had the same thing happen on my car. If you disable the VSV it will hit 8-9psi and just stay there.

how to disable????

Postby shaggz » Mon Nov 15, 2004 3:06 pm

how do you disable the vsv controller ???,i taped the boost in my starlet and he wanted me to do it in his caldina for him but it seems to have metal pipeign leading to the actuator not rubber like my starlet, so i wa wondering if its still possible, or do will it need a professional boost controller, not a t-junction and a bit of pipe???????
drive it till it breaks, then upgrade it
