Dont replace the reso with a muffler, just put another reso in, but a big one, eg 14" or so.

I'm not sure what he means by replacing the muffler with a 3 inch tip Dont remove the rear muffler.

the rear muffler is probably what making the tinny sound
hes quite probably meaninf somthing like a rps cannon muff for the back

Long resinators = deep note .

get the front one replaced with a long one, and another put in if you have the room.
