So, if I get a 4age, and put it in now. It will last a month or so till I get the new G/B.

What about the ae85 diff though? Will it be OK, or will it just pack a sad?

yea it should be sweet. k50s will handle 4ages aslong as you don't give them sh*t, same with the diffs.

yeap diff will hold if you dont thrash. mate drifted on his 85 diff in his 86 for about 4months before it blew, drifting about twice a week giving it alot of shit. held up to more of a beating than his 86 one. you'll be fine if you take it easy, when you start thrashing it its life expectancy will be dependant on what condition its in. 22yr old cars, every diff is different because they're so old

What's all this talk about driving like a nana!!

You can give the K50 some pretty serious stick... Just shift nicely. I give mine a fair beating from time to time.
But I killed second gear in my old K50 from smashing it into gear. Shift nice and it should handle well...
