Postby ee904age » Thu Mar 17, 2005 7:24 pm

A few of us have noticed that 4AG TPS specs have been asked for a fair bit lately so ChaosAD and myself have agreed this should be posted up.

Yellow = Vcc
Red = VTA
Blue = IDL
Brown = Earth (E2)

Once you've got the 2 middle setting right it should be fine.

Specs borrowed (read: stolen) from HRT

I know these apply to all TVIS 4AG's please add if theres more they suit

Like its hard, get some feeler gauges and poke the right size one between the lever and the stop for it and see what the resistance is between the 2 terminals. Move the TPS around on its adjustment bits (much like a distributor) until you've got the right readings.

those are not correct for a black top.

search for 'tps on qtb' post.

there is a good (if I do say so) guide and measurements there.

Call me a total N00b, but i cant find the *stop* on the qtb blacktop....

i mean, i search around the throttle, what ya call it.. (round thing that the cable runs around). cant find it... i can see the TPS unit (2 screws, little round black box type thing, seen on the far left of the throttle/s setup)

but where on earth do i stick the feeler guages? i really cant find it :(.

Pix would help me, and other n00bs alike :).

big deep breath

its a pain in the ass bolt that the quadrant with the throttle wire on rests on between the middle two throttle bodies. Its quite hard to see but grab a torch and its there.

4AFE TPS adjustment

Postby AE91Sprinter » Sun Apr 23, 2006 5:31 pm

Went hunting, found this pdf.

http://www.lovehorsepower.com/MR2_PDFs/ADJUST.PDF

Has the info there for 4AFE, different from 4AGE (only 3 pins).
