st205 owners but others welcome re:water temp

Postby TRDmod » Sat May 07, 2005 1:50 am

i was gonna ask if anyone here had water temp gauges, darn, that would have been a dumb question:) anyways, i was wondering if anyone here could tell me ,just normal day to day operation, what temp is your water....preferably if any st205 owners here could give me feedback that would be wicked....but everyone is welcome so i can get comparisons....also, where have you placed the sensor

my one is the outlet directly after the water exits the engine, so its getting a reading direct to what the water is right after it comes out of the engine.....

anyone here have sensor on same place or sensor on different place?? what temp does it read??

oil too if anyone can give me that
Have you got the hots? for what's in the box with the dots? ..... 0800 30 40 50

Not direct info on a Celica but,

Thermostats generally opne about 82 - 85 degrees.
Normal running i'd expect about there somewhere.

My race car runs about 90 when driven hard.

So somewhere in between there.

Oil Temps are a completlt different story.

they run a lot hotter, but take a lot longer to warm up.
