Numbers stamped on block sump sealing surface

Postby 85AW20v » Tue May 10, 2005 9:29 pm

Just pulled the sump off the 20v block to clean out the sump and check the bottom end before putting it back together. Noticed a series of 2's stamped into the flat surface of the block that the sump seals on to. There are also 2's on the big end and main bearing caps. Anyone have any ideas on what they mean?
See ya

pretty much...

they tell you the grade of the block.... you have to get the numbers off the crank and use a chart to get the correct size.

toyota mains are usually in 5 different sizes and big ends in 3 sizes
