oil catch tanks

i went to taupo race day with redlinetec club, was wickedf but all of them had oil catch tanks....

what does this actually do something bout vapour they say but would putting one on a st205 have any advantages?
Have you got the hots? for what's in the box with the dots? ..... 0800 30 40 50

I think ST205s have them factory. The black box at the back of the intercooler.

Increases power by at least 20-30kw per oil catch can hose.

no but seriously, oil vapor reduces the octane in the fuel going into your engine. If your running High compression, or boost that aint standard.. It can cause detonation.
Therefore, the oil simply goes into a 'catch can' rather than the intake.

As Zomb said, you have one from the factory already which drains back to the sump, this seperates the oil/air so the vapours don't go back into your engine via your turbo, piping and IC
