Ok can anyone who has taken a silvertop 4age head off tell me what these 3 things
are and how many of the washers there are supposed to be?

I've got 10 washers I asume they are to keep the shims? in place for when vvt
kicks in? If thats true am I supposed to have 12? Does it matter if I use normal washers
for the two I am possible missing?

I truly hope you have numbered those shims so that you know which bucket to locate to which valve. Otherwise you'll have to measure clearances and reshim every bucket.
The answer is Helmholtz!
