Lowering superstrut ae101 levin, can i do it.

Postby crazor » Mon May 16, 2005 7:01 pm

Ive had a good serach through the forums looking for this topic and ive found bits and pieces.
The simple question is , how do i go about getting my car lowered.
And is it possible.
I know i cant use just lowering springs, so how must i go about doing this.?
Who has done this and knows places that do this, and approx cost.
Sorry if this is a topic that has been bashed to death.

Regards

I had a AE101 SS Levin a few years ago and i put 'low' King Springs in with the factory shocks and the ride was a good improvement on stock with no downside, camber wasn't affected too much so no correction was needed at the time... It depends on many aspects, if your shocks have seen better days then think about replacing them and if you do, think about rebuilding them with something decent such as a bilstein insert, not cheap but brilliant performance for street and fully serviceable so no need to ever replace the shocks ever again, bad news is you are looking art around $2000 for 4 shocks fitted, valved etc for your application... I am running Tein S Tech springs and am absolutely surprised how well they ride and have the vehicle sitting!
