what gearbox is it? W55??

we cant figure out what gearbox my mate has, when he got it he was told it was off a XX celica/Supra, its got cast iron or steel center and thats about all we know, does anyone know how to tell the w series gearbox apart? we got no numbers or anything.

if it's a cast iron/steel looking center (ie not alloy like the other parts) then it's a w50. not really worth a whole lot, they go for between $100-$300 on trademe, normally there's atleast 2 or 3 at any given time.

oh an the bellhousings aren't compatible with the alloy cased boxes (w55, 56, 57, 58 etc)
