4agze rising rate FPR

Postby Mr Revhead » Mon May 23, 2005 3:09 pm

ok a wee mystery im trying solve on my 4agze

the fuel reg appears to be controlled by a VSV. what i want to know is which way it works.... is it passive? or active? by that i mean does the VSV hold the pressure reg open intill it detects boost (or other parameters) and then closes it (therefore raising fuel pressure) or does it work the other way around, opens the reg on off boost conditions?

the reason for this is mine has been removed by a previous owner, so im just double checking the right thing was done.... i think they attempted to make it run full pressure all the time. im thinking itll hold it open so if it fails itll run high pressure so it wont melt things, id just like to confirm this....

ok found the answer... its not as i thought....
not a true rising rate reg, just raises the pressure slightly for cold start enrichment. file it away in the memory banks boys!
