Customising a dash in a GA-70 Supra.

Postby Quint » Tue May 24, 2005 2:33 pm

Hey,

Currently in the process of riping out my old dash to put a new one in, by a 'new one' i mean i'm customizing it, eg putting aluminium plateing in front of the dial faces etc.

Only problem is i'm having real trouble figureing out how to rip the sucker out  I've always hated working on dashs, so thats my only excuse.

anyone got any ideas on how to rip it out without damaging it any further? The previous owner was none to gentle on the poor girl.

Can't figure out how to remove the plastic face on that sits in front of the dials, I'm assuming its some screws that are tucked in backwards (of all places) that are still holding it in place, Takeing off the cover so i can make a cardboard template to then transfer it to aluminium. will take a pic of the situation when my camera battery recharges.

It is a :
1986 GA-70, 1G-GTE

Cheers for any help.
