ST205 GT4 Head Lamp

One of the head lamps on my ST205 GT4 isn't working. Only works on Park. Is this just a bulb tha can be replaced? I notice that when the lights are OFF, the bulb appears blue, and the light from the lamps is very white.

parkies are seperate bulbs.

from the fact that they are *blue* id say its got xenon's with blue tinge or whatever. Just take out the bulb, and go get one thats the same (voltage, tinge of blue etc).

By the way, the high beams are seperate units altogether. The head lamps only have normal and park.

you can check the bulb by taking it out and looking at the filament. if its broken or there is no filament replace the bulb.... if its not the bulb it most likely the fuse

yeh, but even though they are dual bulb / headlight, (well, quad), the *normel headlight* driving bulb's should switch to their *high beam* filament..

since they run normel H4's

but meh, ive never dealt with st20x's but i do wish you luck.

Probbaly just a fuse / bulb problem easily solved.

Nah - the 6th gen celicas don't use H4's (even though most websites, shops etc think they do). The 6th gen uses the 9005 bulb (also called HB3) and the 9006 bulb (also called HB4) - both single filament bulbs.

The two lights closest to the centre of the bumper are the main beams and use the 9005 bulbs and the outer ones are the low beams and use the 9006 bulbs (as well as W5W bulbs for the park lights). The factory fog/driving lights use H3 bulbs.

Note: This info is correct for all 6th gen celicas sold up to approx 1998 - after which they were fitted with projector style lights and clear high beams. The bulbs for these lights are: H1 for Low Beam, 9005 for High Beam.
