shiite my head hurts from trying to read that.... :?

Ok so your power to the H/U stopped after you had to take it out to re-connect your VVT-light, correct?

Have you tried it without the VVT-light connected?

Check all of the wires/connections to make sure there's no loose wires anywhere or that there isn't any open spots on the wire itself where it can short itself out against another wire.

Check the fuse on the H/U I think they are normally 15A.(?)

i bet you blew the dome fuse. Check all your fuse boxes and replace any fuses, then tell us if it still doesn't work

i suspect its a similar problem to my g/fs ae111
testing the voltage via the ciggy lighter socket while the car was in motion and went over a bump, shorted it out and the stereo went off.
No biggy i thought

went to change the fuse which had blown, to find that the previous owner had wrapped wire around it so it would still work, even tho it had blown.

That was dispite a spare fuse being only a cm away....

put the spare in and no power to the ciggy lighter or clock.. (so acc on 12v supply)

now have stereo hooked up to a 12v constant, which is a pain in the ass.

if you find the problem, let me know

and if i find it, ill let you know

im thinking there is another fuse somewhere...

Does you inside light work?

if not you will have blown the dome light fuse which is in the engine bay. Re-check the fuse or swap it with another fuse the same rating to try.
