V8's

Postby sunskreens » Thu Jul 14, 2005 9:24 pm

Hey guys I'm a big fan of Supra's and a big fan of the 1UZ-FE V8. I know this mod has been done in Japan but I haven't found any English articles and my knowledge of Kanji is murky to say the least. Has anyone fitted a 1UZ into a Supra in NZ? Does anyone have any articles on how to do it? And does anyone know the approximate cost of the fitting into an MKIV Supra. Cheers guys and girls any help would be much appreciated.

Search through http://forums.toymods.org.au/

They put the 1UZ in everything.

um, we're playing with the idea of a twin sc'd 1uz at the moment into a A80.
just got a full workshop, and a lot of sideprojects as well. lots of info on the above sites.

A twin S/C eh? What sort of S/C are you thinking of using?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I brought that car yesterday for $6000. Pretty good nick, everything ran sweet as until I was accelerating out of the mana roundabout and the clutch let go (was supposed to be brand new). Either the pressure plate or the thrust mechanism is gone. Hopefully the people that did the clutch will come to the party and fix it, otherwise im gonna be screwed.

But yeah, awesome car when its going :D :D :D

Sorry to hijack the thread, but i wanted to put extractors in, would I have to go custom? there's not alot of room between the exhaust & the body...
