4A-GTE Injectors?

Postby CMS » Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:54 pm

Hey guys. Currently doing an upgrade on the race car. Carbed 4A-GE is out, (see the For Sale post) and Turbo 4A-GE is going in. Looking to run up to 15psi, looking for 280hp. The big question is, what injectors should i run. I'm hoping for something that will fit the standard fuel rail. (Getting sick of having to fabricate everything!!)

The 7M-GTE ones should be a straight fit if you're after top fed, low impedance ones. If you're going for side fed (20V) then the 3S-GTE ones are a decent upgrade.

What 4AGE and computer are you planning on?

The stock 4AGZE injectors (360cc?) should be sufficient for that boost.

Heck the stock 4AGZE MAP ECU is mapped out to 15psi...

She's a 7 rib block with squirters, GZE pistons, and a blue top (16 valve, big port) head. Link Plus ECU. What cc are the 7M injectors?

no, noone has any ;)
if you could whack a side feed fuel rail in I'd happily sell you some 440cc side feeds for $150, or even 550cc side feeds for $300 :)

I've got some low impedance GZE ones you could have for $150+ postage if you're interested. May even have a fuel rail here somewhere

gze ones wont be enough, well on my car it wasnt, just leaned out after 12psi on the dyno with 60psi pressure in the rail.

my old mans car has 550cc injectors running at 63% and that made 293hp@8400. 360cc wouldnt be enough unless they were running near max where they get inefficient after 80%.

OK, so it sounds like at least 440cc is what I'm after. Any clues on a good source for aftermarket injectors?

y not vr4 injectors, from memory at 38psi they are abround 440cc,
they are top feed, and fit in the standard 4agze fuel rail if you change te upper o'ring, all you need to do is change the plugs,

i have a set for $220 including postage
