dont bother. 4age factory ones are prety much the best you can get.

$400 for 2-3hp more? I THINK NOT.

best you can do is get the "kink" at the secondary's strightened out. thatll give you a gain right there

except when u take it to an exhaust shop who make an attempt at redesigning the factorys to 4 to 1 by cutting off right at the 4 to 2 flandge and going straight to one pipe from there, made less power than b4! so need sum decnt one to replace whats onthere

Go to a wreckers to get factory ones. Ive never herd anyone on here disagree these are prety much the best bang for buck.

yea might hav to not unless ne one has a set they need to get rid of?? if the 2 to 1 section was all replaced with just one pipe to would it be prtty shit usless extractors?

well now you have
the factory extrators themselvesa sre good but everything after that first flange is crap
and there is more than 4 hp is sorting it out
this hase been covered a few times

yea and im saying i have the factory extactors and everyiting after that 1st flandge is replaced with one pipe right to the end of the system, would that have been a good ting to do?

the first flange is only half of the extraxtor setup
surly been the obvious 20v exhast guru you would know this

ps... there nothign like 16v setups

nope im not disaggreing at all, im asking if my "modifyed" factory extactors would be any good? as it goes from the the 4 section just straight to one pipe now and i was wounderig that would be any good?

wasent aimed at you :D

you have to make basicaloly the 2 into one section
the lenght of this will determin how your power is spreed and where it is
if you can get this right it can be a very good setup

i doubt your local exhaust shop will have a clue what there doing to be honest

o ok so going straight into one pipe after the frist flandge wouldve fuked up getting any good power from them then?

unforunatly
the lenght of the secondarys is totally dependant on the diamtere of the tube
so whos to say that is correct

the original 16 cast manifold was very well designed for the 16v and is almost as good as it gets

unfortunatly the 20v exhaust is quite crappy in comparason and there is much room for inprovement
