Gearbox adapter plates?

Postby Hachiroku » Wed Jul 27, 2005 7:19 pm

How tricky would it be to make an adapter to fit a 4age to a T series t50 / r series w55 bellhousing? A guy here in chch was selling a w57 with 4age adapter plate here a few weeks ago. Just looking for a cheaper option than a proper cast bellhousing. Anyone done this?

How Tricky? Very!, not worth it for a one off
How Expensive? See Above
A Better Option? Buy one already made.

if you can get me an auto bell, i can make one for you,i already have some for a 1jz to w55, but 4age auto bell is different, so just need one to size, or if you can give me measurements of inner diameter of the mounting ring and the depth of the bell, then all youll need in a 4age autobell and the w55 box, and cut a hole in the bell for the clutch fork, can do a plate for $300.
