Postby Kevorkian » Thu Jul 28, 2005 11:01 pm

Argh!!! I Need HELP!!! There is a big ass crack forming RIGHT NEAR THE TURBO!! I want to replace the pipe but I havent been able to find a pipe and I contacted a few mechanics and they all said that they havent been able to source the part.

Suggestions please!!

And no this is NOT my engine bay ;) *Laughs @ AJz*

Yeah mines doing that too. Duct tape has done the job for the last few months and seems to be standing up to the heat fine. Will sort out a proper fix when I get around to a cold air intake.

Ring around a few hardware stores to find a rubber vulcanising tape.
Thats what I've used and its done the job nicely. Looks half decent aswell.

herbert engineering on the shore have done them, otherwise al does a coupple of elbows you could join together with a piece of stainless to facilitate the breather lines.

also judging by that pic the pipe in st215 caldina gt-t's is a single piece from turbo - airbox, whereas on st185's it's 3 pieces from turbo to afm

why bother fixing it rip it out bang the battery to the boot and put a straight bit of stainless pipe to a pod filter and get a oil catch can.

its not quite as straight forward as that.. there is a fuse box that needs to move a bit , and the sometimes the afm wiring isnt long enough to move forwards much.. can be done tho
