JZA 70 Supra

Postby sunskreens » Sat Jul 30, 2005 10:27 pm

Hey guys I'm in the market for a JZ70 Supra and I was wondering what model to get with what engine. How are they maintenance wise cheap or not? How are parts etc? What do I look out for when I'm buying one? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers guys and girls.

Yep, as far as I remember

JZA70 - 1JZ = 2.5 straight 6
MA70 - 7M = 3.0 straight 6
GA70 - 1G = 2.0 straight 6
Don't tell anyone, but I bought a Corolla so I could beat some Hondas on TvH days :P

definitely if you can get a 1JZ-GTE manual (2.5L twin turbo). Will likely be big $$ though. A manual MA70 turbs would be good too, provided the engine is in good nick, steer clear of 1GGTE models if you can, they're the most common and are 2L twin turbo but the engine is poorly matched to the size of the car.
