Postby YeMs » Sun Jul 31, 2005 6:57 pm

u put ur hand on its.. water pump and gently stroke it.

no im not talking about that sort of stroking, i mean enlarging the engines capacity..

any who i heard a rumour that if u slide a 3Y crank into a 3TGTE that it strokes it to like 2.2ish is that tru?

that would be correct and if the 4Y crank is used it takes it out to almost 2.4litres.
i don't know of anyone in NZ that has done it, but a lot of machining is required to fit the crank and custom made pistons and rods are needed.

it could be a very rewarding optoin, it could also be a very expensive lemon.

Check out http://www.toyota3tc.com/forum/index.php there is a little information there and a few people who seem fairly familiar with the work required.
