Allright so i got my auto g/box and im sitting there wondering how i make a manaul bellhousing from it?!?

Its an M series auto box that was behind a 5mge cressida and from what i can see there is no seperation in the auto box so as to where i could make a manual housing!?!

Do i have to cut it?

Can anyone help me?!?

To make a manual bellhousing from auto box i have been told the best way is to get a late model 7mge b/h as they are alot shorter than the early 5mge autobox b/h. Because the b/h is shroter, and adaptor plate can be made to go between the auto bellhousing and and box. The pivot point is in the box anyway, so it is only a mater of chopping a window then sorting out a method for attaching the slave cylinder. Or just find a m series bellhousing and box...

You generally find if a factory one is available it will be cheaper and easier to find one. That one posted above looks like a W40, W50 five speed should bolt up to the same bellhousing.
