Postby NEMESIS » Tue Aug 09, 2005 7:47 pm

OK....REALLY STUPID ....question time...how do you remove the interior door handle covers in a Toyota (Surf) without damaging them?

After removing the centre screw,Is there a clip behind it or is it held in by some other means...??

Help people...

You lost me dude...I need to get them OFF the interior of the door...usually once the centre screw is removed the door handle surround just slides off but it is solid in place. :?

Hence there must be something holding it in place....BUT WHAT...?? :D

On the caldina (as well as the screw) there were clips which held it to the top and bottom of the hinge axle. These had to be removed by pushing the trim and pulling on the handle and gently prying with a small screwdriver all at the same time.

Look on my webpage.
Look at step 3 of "removing AE101 door trim"
This covers pretty much what snowtoy said.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
