kp60 starlet coilovers

well, i went in to local car shop today and was asking about suspension for my starlet, and he was reccomending D2 coilovers from a s14 with s13 hubs to fit starlet ball joints. by cutting the starlet joint off the strut and making a bracket to fit the s14 coilovers they will fit into my starlet. they said they could do it for $2000.

now what the also have said is these will not fit standard strut towers, so why just get s14? i could get better surely?

is modifying the strut towers certable? if i go and tell the certer that i want to do this will he want to cert it?

im sure there are so many things that wont work, but this guy seems to think it will all work sweet as.
