4afe to 4agze conversion

Postby luvnit » Wed Sep 21, 2005 12:02 am

right so ive finally decided what i want to do, im getting a 4agze put in, with a 15 psi pulley kit, front mount intercooler and a new front kit. as well as a 2.5 inch mandrell exhaust and 4-2-1 extractors

what i would like to know is will my standard driveline handle it reliably or will it break after a while, im going to have to upgrade the clutch anyway, mainly because i think the one in my car at the moment is about shot

im aslo going to get my wheels reconditioned and lowered another inch as its not sitting as nicely as id like it to, and i also have to get my left cv checked out and he wheel bearing, and the electric window motor replaced, so after all this will i be able to afford to upgrade the driveline ( gearbox, lsd)
i want a turbo, why not 2... new car

Cool, now why are you telling us, nothing new.........

Umm, you have a fe, that mean drum back brakes? Think about replacing thoses... and a gze is going to cost you a fair bit...why not a silvertop and turbo it? Wouldnt be any harder, and more power.

Dude, save yourself a sh*tload of hassle, save up and BUY a AE101 GTZ.

You will need to have your car certed since you are increasing the power output of the engine. Plus the additional insurance hassles.

AE101 GTZ comes standard with disc brakes all round, LSD and ABS.

Once you've finished our conversion, the car will be worth no more that it currently is, esp as far as the insurance goes...
