Postby redline racer » Wed Oct 05, 2005 11:08 pm

Hey, was wanting to know what the air sensor?-(plugs into the factory air box) on the black top does and can it be left out if adding a pod filter? some people seem to leave it out, others dont? any help appreciated.

Sounds very much like IAT (Intake Air Temp). I would suspect that the ECU would detect a sensor failure and go into a limp home mode (over fuel, less power).

However as Link dont support IAT in the LEM I've never used one, so its pure supposition.
The answer is Helmholtz!
