4age TPS compatibility

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Thu Oct 06, 2005 9:53 pm

I'm looking at getting another throttle position sensor to try out on my 4age bluetop to see if it runs better.

my engine was a fwd, not exactly sure what out of. im using an ae86 ecu and loom so do i need to use an ae86 TPS or will a TPS off any model bluetop work?

cheers

you will be suprice the different they make (TPS).. as recently my TPS on the ae86 not working very well, but they, on my way back from Rotorua last time, i broke my trottle body!.. the linkage fell offas it snap by the bolt that hold the butterfly inside the trottlebody... 8O
pretty scary that gas pedal on the floor and doing 100km/h at night following cars...

anyway, i replaced the trottle body with a fwd item which is the same.. off a bigport redtop.. they have different plug for the tps and also tps are abit different..
so, make sure that if u get a TPS with different plug, get the metal thing that by the shaft holding by a 10mm bolt. you will need that. as they are 90 degree different with the ae86 item.

anyway, i set it up on my car according to the spec, car feel different! emmm... before was better.....
