Righteo, Whats your guess? (rev up rev down etc)

Decided to give the engine a bit of a clean up, grabbed my cans of degerser and went nuts, (4agze, aw11) so dizzy is against firewall, out of way.

sprayed once, washed it off, sat it in the sun to dry off, sprayed again, washed off, left engine run to "burn off" anything i didnt wash off (man that exhaust manifold smokes after you put degreaser on it lol).

ANYWAY, all went well, went for a drive, lovely great (new i/c hose so she goes harder too).

went to town, did my shiz, came home, JUST as i was driving in, i heard a knocking from the rear (i figured, sway bar joint? or something similar). misses jumped out and had a look if anything was banging about (i dont know why but meh).

she said the noise was comming from the engine (sounded rear lower passengers side), so ok, ill put it in the garage i though. drove foward, back, whatnot (to get into position), when the check engine light came on (rpm was dancing about.. sorta like it was missing... (drops by 100rpm? then recovers and does it again). so ok, stoped the throttle, fine, she idled fine then... strange

restarted car started reversing.. check engine light came back on, RIGHTEO then, went and bridged T and E1, and what do i get? Flash, Flash, Flash, Flash... constant, oh goodie, no errors.

I unplugged the Stepper motor, incase she was having a hissy (as so i hear they do on ze's). but nope... still engine light came on, and did the same bloody thing.

restarted again, removed bridge, and reversed into driveway...

so what do ya think it is haha. (would water in the afm cause this? however i drove for ages...

oh, and in town it missed a few times, low rpm, low throttle not a good feeling mid roundabout.

Possibly... they are brand new plugs though, about 40km's on em. (yes, fourty).

anyway, i was suggested to check idle up from ac.

(2 hoses, 1 runs from before throttle, one after, when ac turns on, a valve opens and lets air run through and bypass the throttle).

however after cleaning it out (sprayed some throttle body cleaner down it) incase it was gunking open (or fluttering open and closed).

i also closed the ac idle up screw right up (so its not helping much at all) but i barly use aircon so thats cool, and i can turn it back up later.

it rules that out anyway.

So far moneys on the stepper motor (plugging it in lowers idle..)

Eg, without, 1600-1800rpm (when warm).
With, 1200-1400rpm.

So hmm... a new one of those might fix it (or second hand).

oh, and check engine light never came on before AT ALL. oh and one more little thing, can anyone tell me what controls (and clicks....) when idle goes to high? dropping it back down again?
