My guess is the ratios will be different.
Same as the R154 and teh R150 basically the same box but ratios differ from petrol to diesel...

IF they are both W55's the ratios will be the same, however you are more likely to be comparing a W55 to a W51 or W59 or similar or even C (or is it G????) series gearboxes. In this case, ratios are different.
