can someone direct me to a blacktop engine wiring diagram?
i have had a big search

have got an ecu pin identification chart, but really after the whole diagram

Here's the 'toymods' tech document section. Its got the blacktop manual and heaps of other good info on other toyota engines/cars including the ae86 manual and 16V 4age manual.

yeah ive been googling a bit with mixed results

got the blacktop engine repair manual

i think ive got a decent'ish ECU pinout, but no real decent wiring diagrams

gunna strip my loom from the Levin and split it into what i do and dont need - will be a c*nt of a job...

Just make sure you mark all the plugs/connections etc you still need as you take them off the motor, with a label or insulation tape. You'll find wires a spliced inside the loom once you get it apart and you need to make sure that the one you cut out isn't feeding anything else. It's not that bad - if you've got it out of the car and have plenty of room on the shed floor to lay it out.
