Filter for 4AGE

Postby SpeedRacer » Tue Nov 29, 2005 10:52 am

I plan to stick a pod filter on my 4AGE red top. Here are the problems Ive been thinking about and would like to be re assured on.

* Its MAP sensored(?) will a pod filter cause problems with that?
*Theres a little sensor thing that goes into the filter air box. Where should I mount that on the pod filter?

*Also can I still use the plastic pipe it comes with or should I get a metal one? (curious as to whether the pipe will change shape due to air pressure) Also where do I get one of these from?

1) no
2) drill a hole in the intake pipe and stick it in there (read: silicon or gromet)
3) get a nice shiny bling piece of stainless (i might be able to source you one - just let me know dimensions)
4) build a cold air box so you dont suck in hot air

OR: just save all the hassles and get a decent panel filter

I have a K&N Panel filter to fit a Redtop smallport AE92,
done less than 1000 k's in it's life, still in it's box.
