Sounds like its' having issues mapping fuel for boost, what ECU are you using? Bear in mind, you're using an airflow meter off a non-turbo, a somewhat different car, I'd guess that the ECU is having issues trying to map fuel with an airflow meter it wasn't designed for.
Try a 1G AFM, see if it fixes the problem? Other than that, check the simple things, if there's even a minor leak in the turbos -> inlet manifold piping, it'll run super rich, and backfire etc.. and make sure all sensors are plugged in! I once made the mistake of unplugging a tiny ground wire off the gearbox in a turbo mitsi I had, ran like shit, popping, misfiring.. just goes to show, its' the tiniest things that you just don't consider!
