simple question: will an alternator off a 4agze fit onto a bluetop?
I'm assuming aslong as the dimensions are the same/pulley sits in the same place and the plug fits then there shouldn't be any problems.
can anyone confirm this?

No, I tried it, the bottom bracket mount on the gze alt is wider than the bluetop one and does not fit in the bluetop bracket.
This is assuming your trying to put the alt in the standard bluetop location.

you may find that the internals are the same.
5mge alternators are hard to find, but 1geu ones are easy as, so i looked at the internals, and sweet they were the same.
might be an option....
