MR2 footwell plug help

Postby Akane » Sat Dec 10, 2005 5:30 pm

I was changing doors on the MR2 SW20 and i forgot to unplug the 2 plugs (well I forgot that i replugged it to wound the windows down), and I was pretty much jerking the plugs loose furiously while holding the door in my left hand (what feels to be 20kgs!)

anyways, now I plugged everything back up, I found this plug, but I can't find the socket that this plug goes into (not door related), everything on my console works, I don't know where this go, is this a diagnostic plug or something?

Akane has a turbo model and they never came out in auto.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

My guess - ABS computer wiring? (presuming that you don't have ABS fitted.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Turbo model was AFM whereas the early N/A's were MAP. So the loom would be different in that aspect, meaning that they wouldn't put in a facility for an auto ECU in a loom that they knew they were making for a manual only turbo model ;)

well obviously the engine looms are different, but whether the chassis loom is different is another story. Most likely it's a plug for an unused option of some type. IIRC the ABS computer wasn't there though, and some dude that wanted to buy a whole ABS system off me discovered his non-abs mr2 didn't have any of the wiring for control units, sensors etc.
