The best gearbox would be a K50, unless you're making some huge power (comparatively ) then you could get a T50.
Diff, it kinda depends on vehicle.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time

corona is a pretty rough generilsation. you have to be more specific around here.. you may possibly be wanting a t series rear or even an s series rear that would be an acceptable upgrade for a standard rolla.

Exactly, are you talking about a KEx or KPx chassis here?

Its a 1982 ke70 sedan just finished moding the 4k so wanting a lsd and 5spd box but not sure what to get.
Also i went to the clasic car racing at ruapuna the other wekend and sore a starlet with the cooling fan on radiater on the outside instead of in the engine bay side is there any advantage in doing this or is it just a space thing?

A K50 will be sweet provided you dont slam shift and do standstills all the time

oh and kp's run thermo switches for there radiator fans its less drag on the motor instead of trying to spin a fan with the water pump run it off a battery, and if its on the other side it makes no difference it just means its blowing instead of sucking.

Not true - I own 2 of them and 1 is brand spanking new still in the box, the other is in my race car. I have a mate who also owns 2 of them and has another one for parts.

KP's never came out turbo factory so not sure where you are getting your facts from.

TRD made a U & X code LSD back in the 80's and 90's, when they used to have a starlet race series in Japan.

Like I said they are still around if you know where to look. As for price, I paid $650 for my brand new one.

you are probably thinking of some race car.
there was NEVER a kp series starlet turbo made and sold by toyota.

there were some special versions of K and T sereis engines that probably found there way into factory race cars but none of those were turbo that i can recall.
