Exhaust Problems

when my exhaust is cold it makes a slappy/raspy/tinny sound @ around 3500-4000RPM but when it is warmed up it sounds ok. car is an ae101 trueno and has been to magoos and they havent found anything wrong with it??

not a problem.
many cars are more raspy/tinny when cold

yea its just cos its cold, cant really do much about it.

Another resonator would help :)
Most factory exhausts on 20 valve AE101s do that.

sorry forgot 2 mention that it has a big bore exhaust on it, 2 resonators and a dytech muffler. it has also only just started doing this it never used to before........

When cold, does it do it constantly around those revs, or just under load?

i have only noticed it while accelerating, if that is what u mean, but i havent tried sitting on those revs or doing it while not moving, the more boot u give it the louder and more raspy the noise is..... :?

or a baffles come loose, or is hitting something
heat sheild rattling is pretty common.....

Get an Exhaust Warmer for it. 8)
