slipping clutch HELP

Postby bluemaumau » Sat Dec 17, 2005 10:14 am

ok the subject is a GTti charade.
has just had a brand new pressure plate a nd standard clutch put in by professionals. the flywheel was machined but now seems quite thin/small.
and i have been told the clutch cable is quite loose.

anyway got it back took it for a drive and its now slipping at 5psi -> worse than when i took it in.!

so the problem is:

1. flywheel is too small and cannot grip, thus get a new one.
2. clutch cable is in bad nick, get a new one.
3. something else

any help is much appreciated
cheers

ok. can "the flywheel being too small/thin" lead to the slipping??
anyone know wat approx prices are for flywheels brand new and seconds?
