yes, and yes.

iv even heard of ppl sticking a sc12 on a stock silvertop with an aftermarket ecu.

the difference between the work of a turbo and a s/c version wont be much.... you still ahve to custom make a manifold, mounts and piping.
you will still need to upgrade injectors and the ecu.

however in certain applications i reckon a s/c one is better than a turbo

for a start it gives you a bit of a bottom end if thats what you're lacking.

But you'll sacrifice the topend for said bottom end...

hell if your gona go to the trouble of supercharging a 20v, why not just get a sc14, and you wouldn't lack as much topend as a sc12.

food for thought anyway

who cares about sound! torque is everything 8)

thats what i love so much about my s/c it has throttle response that no turbo can match, ie touch gas, bang there it is 8)
nothing at all wrong with turbos if set up right, i just prefer the characteristics of the s/c. and imo they suit my aw11 better than a turbo ever will

hey each to their own, i know what i prefer and what will best suit my plans.
which is sprints and hillclimbs in a midengine car..... that has a reputation for tailhappyness.

if i was planing on track work where top end hp is important, then id lookat turbo, but im not, so i wont.

Gotta LOOOOOOVE those opinionated facts :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

i know this is about two weeks old... but my sc14 on my gze sounds a whole lot tougher than the older sc12 did. Charger whine is the best!
