So I bought a coby home today, 2.5' x 19', my dad just laughs at me and says "thats going to slow you down, should of got a reverse flow muffler".

My question does a reverse flow have a huge advantage over a hotdog style? Are the hotdog style really that bad?

Ive never heard of a reverse flow muffler?? Coby mufflers are very un- restricted and they sound mean, just go with that

What kind of car are you putting it on?? Quite big I hope you might stuff up the back pressure if its too big

Sorry forgot to mention. 4agte with full 2.5' exhaust, 19' coby and N1 muffler. No cat.

i asked exhaust specialists about cobys and they all reckon they are crap , first they arent considered a muffler so when that law comes in ... , and y not get a free flow muffler my mate got 1 from pitstop $130 mayb cost more but half as restrictive

cobys are resonators not mufflers, just like those stupid bling cannons

I think youve misunderstood. Hes talking about the coby hotdogs. Straight through style. If they are not mufflers then what the hell are they?

From what im hearing straight through doesn't always mean free flowing :cry:

And no im not using it as a end muffler, and no this isn't a reasonator, technically its just a glass packed muffler, all I want to know is if they are good or rubish.
