Purpose/ Importance of the throttle sensor...

How important is it to have your sensor correctly placed/ have one at all?

Does it have much effect on fuel system?

If you dont have one it will throw a code 7. It tells the ecu what position the throttle is at, so would affect mixture I assume.

non standard... I am going to play with that idea I had about the double throttle bodies...I know it prob will have no benifit but I want to give it a go.

so some how I need to change the sensor postion so at half throttle it is sensing full throttle. I have the orignal settings for the bluetop but not the red top...

perhaps you could gear it at a 1-2 ratio
but, in using a twin throttle, wont you want it so you can wide open both also? (cant remember all the parts of you other post sorry)

WHY???

Even if you are contemplating twin Throttle body's you wont need to do this.

It measures pedal position as much as anything.

well I thought that since at half throttle( with the double TB) it will be the same amount of air as full throttle with one TB...I would need to adjust the sensor to that this in to account...

only if the TB was the restriction in ya airflow....

if its not the engine will still suck the same amount of air.

to be honest i really do think your on the wrong track for a stock engine

ok

then what id do is just hook up one TPS. itll still tell it where 1/4 1/2 and full throttle is. and itll only suck in the air it needs. and seeing as its MAP sensor it measures the air in the manifold....
