AE101 S/C Loom

Postby beeker » Thu Dec 29, 2005 8:28 pm

I have an AE101 S/C loom in my Ae86. It currently doesnt have a o2 sensor and i want to put one in.

Problem is I havn't been able to track where the o2 cable comes out of the loom for connection to the o2 sensor. (yes, found at ECU)

Can anyone shed any light on this. ie its in the same loom sub cable / split off as the xxx

thx in advance.

should be in the loom just down from the positive terminal, comes out there between the battery and coilpacks.

thats a rough place to look

Does anyone know how it uses the two pinouts? I get confused how it uses HT and OX. Is there two wires coming off the GZE O2 sensor?

Here is a brief cut from the wiring diagram.

The O2 sensor goes to HT, and get earthed at the other side, but for some reason its connect to OX, which is also connected to earth :?

Anyone know how this wiring diagram works?

Ok,

the diagram does not really make sense to me,
but I know how they work anyway.

The GZE sensor is actyally a 4 wire sensor.

One is heater power,
the other is HT which is the ECU switching the earth of the sensor, this
is how it knows when the heater element is ok or not.

The other two are OX which is the sensor signal
and the other is the sensor earth.

And in reply to your pm,
no you can not use a single wire one as it senses the heater element is not working and logs a fault code and ignores the sensor signal anyway.
