How to tell stud pattern etc. on mags?

Postby KiwiMR2 » Fri Dec 30, 2005 2:44 pm

I have some rims I want to sell but I don't know what the stud pattern is etc. I have no idea what they came off and there aren't any stickers or anything on them to tell me what they are etc.

Is there anyway I can work it out??

Cheers

Just note that on that link the 4, 6 and 8 are all centre to centre measurements, where the 5 stud is a measure from centre to the outer edge.

Imagine a circle that goes through the stud centres, this is the PCD or Pitch Circle Diameter. Thats the size in wheel measurements, ie 5x114.3. Nice and easy to measure on 4 stud as its just the centre to centre measurements on 2 studs.

Well, people want to know what offsett and width they are, so they know if they'll fit on their car.

The offset looks too hard to work out :(
