Postby LEV_101 » Mon Jan 09, 2006 7:32 pm

lol, nice title ? hahaha

well, i have a cousin which has a blacktop ae111 levin BZ-G and like he is always saying his car is better then mine and stuff. . . i have a silvertop ae101 levin . . . just wondering what i can do to make my car better then his. . .

he has a 2.5" exhaust done from the 2->1 part, straight through muffler, cat removed, hks pod filter, lowered with jaxma springs, 16" advan rims, trd iridium spark plugs. . . i think thats about it,

and i have factory exhaust, removed cat, straight through muffler, blitz pod with cold air intake, battery to the boot, kg/mm lowering springs, some supension mods, 15" enkei light weight rims, ngk iridium IX, ultra 7mm leads, ground cables and thats it

what do you guys think i can do ?

i want to spend the most bang for the bucks . . . ( always wanted to say that 8) )

thanks

turbo it, or get a 2" or 2.25" exhaust and 4-2-1 headers, that should do it

Your cousins exhaust will only be slowing it down, because it is too large creating back pressure

do as Al says.

the blacktop is a tweaked version of your car.... its better.
to beat it you will need to spend some $$.
theres is no cheap and easy way to do it. except for drive it better and get the most from it you can

to do that:
make sure you have facelift throttle bodies

fit an oil catch can

try and find a SARD or similar ecu

fit a K&N panel filter, thats right, throw awat ya pod and put the airbox back in. duct cool air to the airbox.

run it on 98 octane fuel
fit blacktop extractors, and do something about the 2-1 section.

remove cat, or fit a larger cat off a car with a bigger engine. leave the rest of the exhasut stock

make sure your ignition system is in good nick, that doesnt mean go and buy iridium plugs. stock parts are fine, just make sure they are in good nick

if you really want to make more power than a blacktop.
turbo it.
or fit a black top and tweak that

What the piss? Wont you know when you hit the limiter?

But yeah, strip it. Tune it. Cams. 2/1/4 zaust etc. Cold air induction. Then you might have a shot.

just dont even bother man..
youll spend lots of money, you wont really increase the value of your car, and you'll still just have an ae101.

your cousins car is better, just get over it, or buy a faster car.

I don't reckon you did - i believe that honour is mine :P but seriously you have to define better a bit umm better. I used to be quicker than every black top i lined up (masterton and a few at meremere). I hadn't done all that much to it either, battery to boot, cold air intake and exhaust plus launch control for getting off the line at the drags, was still quick enough to pull away albiet slowly from any blacktop (apart from b1nzs damnit we were dead even) so shouldn't be a problem with what you have to deal to him - just learn how to drive it properly. Oh and mine made 93kw at the wheels reliably

all you need to do is mid mount a 2jzgte motor rear wheel drive with jza80 supra rear subframe and all the supra brakes and suspension
and it would be the phatest ae101 its been done twice all you need is $25000.

nah, you are going about it all wrong.
all you need to do is to remove one of his spark leads while hes not looking.
