A140E-02A Auto Gearbox to 3s-gte?

Hi,

I am wondering if an auto A140e-02A will bolt up to a 3s-gte engine? anyone know? and what HP is this box good to?

if it's already on a 3S-GE then it should work, you'll need to put the flex plate, torque convertor etc on, but it should be fine. Only problem I forsee is that if the starter motor is on the engine side of the gearbox, it will probably get in the way of the turbo

No idea how much power it could take though, probably quite a bit so long as you don't do anything stupid like revving up in neutral and clicking in to drive.

I don't know about 140E but in 140L starter goes the same way as in a 3SGTE

Its currently on a 3s-fe, starter motor goes to the right of the engine

you might have problems bolting the 3s-fe flex plate to the 3sgte. Not sure about newer ones, but older 3s-fe's had a 6 bolt flywheel, 3sgte has 8 bolt. You might be able to get a flew plate from an auto 3sge, or from a tiptronic 3sgte (caldina)

Ok ill check that out, Im hoping i can just drop the engine in bolt it up wire and plumb it then pull it back out upgrade box and drive shafts replace the computer and then put it all back in,
