there are 2 size 3sge ringgears/flexplates, if you have the smaller one you can use the fwd st163 starter motor, but if you have the larger flywheel then you need to space the 1g starter out 10mm.
with the y bell you might have to make the bit where the starter shoots out to engage into the flywheel a bit larger as the original y starter is offset to stick the starter motor in as i has a smaller flywheel, where as the c, g, s and t engines all have the larger flywheels, the space for the starter is larger in these. for the backing plate, just cut and weld one off a c,g,s or t engine and youll be sweet as
