Wheel spacers..

Postby driftme » Tue Feb 21, 2006 10:22 pm

Wanting to find someone out there to make me some spacers to go from a 4x114.3 to a 6x140 stud pattern. Have a friend who will sell me some 15x8s if i can make them fit. So i really want to find an engineer or fabricator who will make them.

Does anyone know who or where i can find someone to ask more about this idea?

Cheers..

i think your right. but this is for drift use only on non road driving car. use for track only. so no warrent no worries.

i think most of the steel they use in the spacers are very very strong anyway, so shouldnt worry about shearing studs i would think.

Yeah I think it is as well, there was a thing in Performance Car about 2 months ago or something about it. Also there should be a link somewhere on toyspeed for the LTNZ vehicled regulations webpage and that has info on it about the fitting of spacers.

i dont know if using spacers while drifting would be that wise of an idea due to the extra stress that would be put on the wheels/hubs/studs, but it may be fine.

spacers are fine for drifting and have been used in the sport for more than 10 years ... i run 30mm spacers for the last two years and no issues .. have had them crack tested twice and all good..
they are not legal on the road without cert and have to be 1 piece ..

6stud wheels are not great man ..we looked into this and it just wasnt a good option .. for the money $400 -$500 to have the spacers made you are 1/2 way to a hilux diff that you dont even need to restud because they come in 5&6 stud ...
