rev counter moving????

wen i have the car on but not running the rev counter goes up and down to the beat of the sub, what is causing this?
current: 1975 Valiant Regel
previous: 1980 mazda 626, 4AGE AE70 sedan, AE70 sedan, mk2 escort, KP60 starlet, TE71 liftback X2

My guess is youve got a wiring issue somewhere and the tacho is registering the power usage from the sub - As i said. A guess.

Mine does it a wee bit, well it did when i was pulling 100A+, but my guess is a bad earth.

What model car is it? The ex girlfriends prelude had full electrics except the speedo.

He said tach not speedo, My guess is a bad earth, or electromagnectic induction (ur amp power supply running next to the tach pick up/tach supply

its a standard tach in a ae70 SE, the amp power supply wire is running past the coil.

what earth? for the amp? because that is fine.

it cant be, with most bass it goes up to 2, a big bass will make it to 3.5 lol its actually fun to watch and doesnt seem to effect it when the motor is running lol
