Hey all can someone give me in great detail how extract 400 flywheel horsepower out of a 4AGZE please?

So far i have a GZE block which is bored out 0.5mm with toyota 0.5mm oversized forged 9.0:1 pistons
GZE crank
Poilished shotpeened and balanced rods.
Going to balance the rotating assembly
Have a small port cylinder head and manifold.
Dont have a turbo or an exhaust manifold yet.
0.8mm TRD steel shim head gasket.
Will be using an aftermarket computer, dont know what yet.

If someone can share with me what i need to do, and get that would be great.

Well i am capable with building engines as i work as a motor machinist.
I realise the turbo is going to be the expensive part.
Im willing to take my time with this engine, collecting parts as i go

Just general things:
Lower the compression -> stock headgasket and 8.5:1 pistons.
Get huge injectors and upgraded fuel pump and maybe fuel lines.
Probably need to port the head, maybe get bigger cams. (Possibly use a big port head?)
The conrods may need replacing with something stronger.
Turbo capable of 400hp.

Also engine will probably need cooling system upgraded because of the extra heat generated.

This will result in a engine which will highly likely be so laggy it will be useless for all but dragging, and probably not all to reliable. But if you are building an engine just for racing this will probably do the trick.

id stick with the compression you have, get a decent fuel system. pumps, surge tank and fuel reg capable of doing the job. id personally look at sx items.

turbo wise id think something along the lines of a .70 compressor .69-.80 turbine.

how about running a 20v head?

id go any talk to andre at speedtech. he may shed some light on what you need to do, after all he does have a 500 atw, dx with a 4age base.

Bottom end is fine, though you'll need something like a TD06 to flow enough for 400hp :? I think TIMID used a GT35/40 didnt it? Basically hand-me-downs from DOCILE

What sort of price would i be looking at for a TD06 or a turbo in good condition to flow that sort of power?
I'm not worried about drivability as it will be used mainly for drag racing

GT3071R should do the trick, the smallest ex housing is the 0.63

Should run you around $1300ish USD ($2k nzd) + shipping, usually always cheaper to source it yourself than pay some monkey $500 ontop of retail :)

The turbo Im using is a T3/T4 Hybrid, Told it would support 530 hp, .70 Exhaust and T04E Comp Housing,..A/R?, The turbine is "o" Trim and the Comp wheel size = Exducer: 2.23" Mayor : 3.31. An "S" or 60-1 Comp wheel are supposed to be yet more efficient.

From what Ive read on here a TD05-16g is a cheaper bang for your buck and can support over 400hp.

heh yeah lol

would do it on a 2ltr

On a 1600 however I think 400hp from a td05-16g would be bit of a stretch

i reccomend the megasquirt-II (v3) ECU. mine cost well under $500 and its very, very tunable.

RPM signal can be tricky to wire up, but there is new firmware in the works that should address that.
