lowering leaf springs

hey well im looking into geting my ke70 wagon lowered and have contacted snell springs to get some custom made springs to drop the front 3 inches. i was thinking of getting 3inch blocks for the back but the guy at snells recond flatening the leafs would be better any ideas??

could always just drop with blocks an add an extra leaf

Blocks are cheaper, but big ones make it look gay cause it pushes the diff downwards :? Just get them reset, it looks heaps nicer and rides firm too.

listen to the man at snells , this is wot they do all day long ! flatening them is wot is known as resetting and it is much better for the ride to do this , and better for ur suspension geometry to do this rather than just blocks 8)

when you use blocks to lower that amount it means that the u-bolt ends will be that much lower to the ground and will likely bottom out on kerbs etc and bend making them i f**ker to get off again (ive done it!), go with reset springs they look and ride so much nicer well worth the cost!

then they go upside down like they did in my 30. probably not a good thing that though

Archers springs in takanini way same as snells but cheaper

leafs dont fit upsidedown in ke70 wags

its not even an option tho because its illegal.. but ive tryed it and they dont fit :o :oops:
